Job Objective:
The objective of the Regional Sales Manager position is to drive sales by expanding the customer base in their assigned region. Managing and developing customer relationships, developing the sales and marketing strategy and managing staff accordingly.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Commerce Degree.
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience preferable within the LPG industry.
- Required to have a sound understanding of the LPG market, competitors, customers etc.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategy, people management experience critical. Excellent communication skills. Customer centric individual. Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
Key Areas:
- Engaging with the Commercial Manager to develop a comprehensive sales strategy for the respective region.
- Designing and recommending sales and marketing programs as well as setting long- and short-term sales strategies accordingly.
- Documenting territory sales plans for each Territory Sales Manager and approving and signing off on such plans.
- Sourcing and selecting dealers and other distributors.
- Planning, setting and achieving goals.
- Ensuring compliance with budgets and providing detailed analysis of deviations.
- Responsible for ensuring consistent volume growth within margin parameters.
- Driving profitability through the effective management of Credit and Assets.
- Liaise with Customer Services to ensure the credit management of existing customers.
- Develop a deep insight into the customer’s needs and take appropriate actions to build profitable relationships.
- Responsible to guide and manage Territory Sales Managers in the safe installation and utilisation of Easigas products.
- Oversee regional compliance with prescribed levels of safety practice.
- Conduct annual safety inspections at all sites within the region.
