    Instructional Designer

    Job description

    Job Purpose:

    Working with the HRA Director, the Instructional Designer shall be responsible for creating online modules, training guides and supporting materials following an instructional design process.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create online learning modules and live web-based training sessions, instructor-led training.
    • Use current programmes to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
    • Work with subject matter experts to develop e-learning content from standard content.
    • State instructional end goals and create e-learning content that matches them.
    • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.
    • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods to e-learning programmes.
    • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
    • Create and integrate supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.).
    • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments.
    • Coordinate and administrate LMS system.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal English
    • Knowledge and application of adult learning principles.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills
    • E-learning tools such as Articulate, iSpring and / or similar
    • Experience working with at least one other Learning Management System
    • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard

    Experience, Qualifications and Other requirements:

    • Minimum of four year related experience.
    • Experience taking, creating, or administering online training,
    • Relevant IT Certification
    • Qualification in training and development
