Travelstart is the leading Online Travel Agency in Africa and the Middle East. Operating in 15 markets across the region each with their own localisation requirements. Online travel is a fast moving and complex domain rarely with a dull moment.

This means code is a core to our business model. Enabling automation from the deployment of our servers to the issuing of your ticket.

We are looking for Software Engineers to help us scale our platform. Join small business focused agile teams working with various tech stacks. We have applications written in Java, C#, Angular, Node and Ruby.

Teams are provided with freedom to self-organise within the scrum process. Driving continuous improvement in our predictable delivery of quality features to business. Product owners, QA’s and Developers work together to keep a well groomed backlog of tasks ready to go.

Our Software Engineers work in teams of 4-8 people focusing on improving or building functionality in a given area such as our fulfilment automation, connectivity to our suppliers, call centres and most importantly the customer experience on the web or mobile device.

We work in 2 week sprints where the content is based on the team’s commitment as well as the estimates provided by the team. We have a really open, cool & motivating work environment in a prime location in Cape Town CBD and a great team with a lot of different cultures.
