The position is for a IAF Sales Engineer to join a dynamic team and company that is based in Edenvale.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To promote and develop business in the Industrial Air Filtration Division’s sphere of expertise and area of operation with a view to keeping abreast with and improving Donaldson Filtration Systems’ overall turnover and profit forecasts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promotion of new business opportunities from within designated geographic and demographic areas of responsibility.
• Servicing of existing business opportunities from within designated geographic and demographic areas of responsibility.
• Assisting in the development of spares and servicing business in the designated geographic and demographic areas of responsibility.
• Collection and simulation of information required for production well engineered and accurately costed solutions to client needs.
• Presentation of solutions to clients.
• Follow up and closure of all business opportunities.
• Production of business opportunity and follow up reports.
• Maintenance of business opportunity recording and filing systems.
• Keeping abreast with company product developments and their areas of opportunity.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Matric
• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering – advantageous
• 2 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role (Dust Filtration/Filtration experience is advantageous)
• Computer literacy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability and desire to sell
• Strong commercial awareness
• Confident and determined approach
• A high degree of self-motivation and drive
• The ability to work in a team
