Job description

We have the opportunity for a journalist/writer with experience in the Mining industry to source, write and edit content for Africa’s leading mining sector partner – Mining Review Africa.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years writing experience in the mining industry
• A journalism degree would be an advantage
• Digital experience would also be advantageous
• Experience in speaking to people from a variety of backgrounds
• Commercial knowledge and understanding

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and identifying content (research, interviews, etc)
• Writing original content for the magazine
• Focus on projects and service providers in Africa
• Attend mining functions and events
• Provide secondary online support

• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team

Other:

• Own transport (will be required to travel locally)
• Valid passport with ability and willingness to travel internationally occassionaly
