Join a team creating a state of the art recommendation engine for the international market. 2-3 years expeirence in Python using Scipy, NumPy and Theano, TensorFlow or Keras. R 900k - R 1,14m p/a CTC.

About this position:

• We are looking for an exceptional data scientist, specializing in machine learning, to work on a industry changing recommendation engine.
• As data scientist at Xineoh you will build mathematical abstractions of different products and services to enhance the user experience of consumers and thereby maximise conversion performance through, among other things, accurate recommendations.
• There are not a lot of people around the world working on this specific challenge at the level that we do, so it is the opportunity to do something niche and exciting and at the same time improve the online entertainment and retail experience for users, while also increasing profitability for businesses.
• You will have the opportunity to work with a flat and lean multidisciplinary team of very smart, passionate and creative individuals. Along with these individuals you will create models that free up a lot of hidden economic value, thereby playing a part to make the economy function better and improve people’s lives.

Candidate requirements:

To qualify for this position, you will need a 4-year degree in artificial intelligence, machine learning, applied statistics, mathematics, physics or related discipline.

You will also need:

• Very strong mathematic skills with good university results for algebra and calculus.
• 2-3 years expierence in Python using Scipy, Nympy and Theano, TensorFlow or Keras. Experience in equavalents are acceptable except R and Matlab.
• Experience in applying these methods and techniques to recommendation and optimization problems.
• Experience in using deep learning techniques.

Remuneration:

R 900 000 - R 1,14 m p/a Cost to Company.
