• To develop a comprehensive understanding of Finance functions and disciplines to enable candidate to:

• Deliver timely and accurate management reporting within prescribed deadlines, including quarterly, and year end reporting.
• Working with all departments and the management, performing ad hoc analysis and provision of financial information as required, enabling financial decision making and monitoring of financial performance.

This role will be linked to a 18 month employment contract and candidate will be employed in all the areas of Finance over the said period:

• Budgeting and reporting
• Transactional accounting
• Commercial and pricing

Listed below are some of key focus areas that will be covered during the 18 month internship programme:

• Complete monthly variance analysis reporting , including commentary on actual performance against budget & forecast
• Support to the budgeting and reporting team with the implementation of new tool and analysis required during Rentokil’s budgeting cycle
• Analysing the financial performance and making assessments on any trends which may impact longer term forecasts
• Pricing, customer profitability analysis and preparation of Branch scorecards (KPI’s)
• Participating in branch audit as part of a multi-disciplinary Finance team to assess operational and financial control effectiveness, including the development and implementation of mitigation plans to address risks identified
• Responsibility for the fixed assets function, including capex purchase budget control
• Balance sheet reconciliation preparations
• Participating in various Treasury activities
• Ad hoc projects and analysis as required by FD

Non Negotiable Qualifications and Experience

• BComm (minimum qualification)
• CIMA / Honours degree an advantage
• Past finance experience an advantage
• Computer literacy – MS Office, Windows, Internet tools
• NAV exposure an advantage
