A dynamic business-to-business media company is looking for two talented young individuals to fill the positions of junior journalist and content writer.

Job description: Junior journalist

3S Media is looking for a junior journalist to write articles and create short video clips for its digital and print infrastructure-related products. You will be required to generate and manage quality newsworthy content within quick turnaround times for newsletters, websites and social media. You must also be able to research and write longer in-depth feature articles for magazines, as well as produce content marketing articles for our clients.

This is a position for an enthusiastic and ambitious graduate with a few years’ experience in journalism who is willing to grow to the next level.

Requirements

• Graduate or post-graduate degree in journalism or media studies
• Ability to research and write original news stories as well as in-depth articles
• Ability to research projects and source relevant stakeholders
• Ability to interview clients and write about their products and services
• Ability to make regular contributions through social media channels
• Willingness to attend industry events to promote your brand, and write stories and social media posts
• Ability to work under pressure and meet constant deadlines
• Portfolio of written work (video clips would be an advantage)
• Own vehicle

This individual must have proven marketing writing skills, creative flair, confidence and people skills, good organizational skills, solid work ethic, unwavering commitment, energetic, deadline-driven, self-motivated, flexible, team player, ability to write or create across multiple platforms and most importantly the willingness to learn and innovate in a changing media environment.

This individual will be writing material across our digital and print products in the business events sector.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in marketing, journalism or media studies
• Some experience as a journalist or marketing writer/blogger
• Confidence working with social media and WordPress
• Strong communicator, clear writer and creative thinker
• Excellent time management skills
• Basic knowledge of SEO principles
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with the B2B environment
• Willingness to attend industry events
• Own vehicle essential
