Division: Short-term Insurance CoE

Role Purpose

To be involved in all analytics related aspects of the management of a short-term Insurer; including performance remuneration, product development, experience monitoring, process optimisation, development and other adhoc commercial involvements. This is a broad technical and commercial role with a specific focus on expansion both internationally and locally.

Responsibilities and work outputs

• Collect data from various sources and assess the completeness and accuracy of the data.
• Performs data and statistical analysis using Excel, SQL and similar products.
• Interpret reports to make sense of the numbers.
• Remuneration modelling
• Advising on the appropriate actions to be taken, given the results.
• Engage with various management forums to design, develop and implement various solutions.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences, Science, Finance Commerce or Business Sciences.
• Newly/nearly qualified as a fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (or equivalent body)
