    Territory Account Representative

    Description

    Emerson Automation Solutions currently has a new role for a Technical Sales Representative to be based in our Gauteng office, South Africa that offers sales exposure in our South Africa Market.

    The position is responsible for generating and managing a lead/opportunity pipeline resulting in sales, based on an intimate product and market knowledge, and an understanding and uncovering of customer needs and preferences.

    Responsibilities

    • Profit and Sales Management task such as providing operating sales forecast / profitability plan for individual customer base, annual sales budgets and drive to achieve this budget and sales strategy for accounts, channels and industries.
    • Execute sales plan and support project execution.
    • Ensure full usage of CRM and full usage of Sales Force Optimization Program.
    • Provide customer inputs to portfolio strategy process for the business unit and appropriate inventory levels based on individual sales forecasts.
    • Support improvement in collections and DSO.
    • Provide market analysis to understand customer needs and Provide competitive analysis and identify market opportunities and threats
    • Taking responsibility for own development and growth through career aspirations and identifying development required, and reviewing personal attributes needed to achieve goals.
    • Working together in a team environment with other departments to ensure that issues are honestly communicated and resolved by valuing fellow colleagues and behaving with honesty and respect towards them.

    Additional Information

    The role will require you to have an extensive travel up to 25% in all South African Countries.

    Requirements

    You must at least have these following qualifications:

    • Engineering degree or diploma with a business/marketing qualification.
    • Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing experience. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in the related industries.
    • Must be fluent in the English and Afrikaans language.
    • Strong experience of sales into the African markets and process industry of South Africa.
    • Good knowledge of valves and controls.
