Job description

Introduction

We are looking for a bookkeeper for the Head Office. The successful candidate must have good comminucation skills and effective time management.

Key responsibilities

• Processing on Pastel to Trail Balance/ Balance Sheet and Income statement
• Bank Reconciliations
• Daily capturing of invoices
• Debtors and Creditor processing and reconciliation
• Petty cash, Credit cards
• Maintenance of Fixed asset registers
• Intercompany recharges and reconciliation
• Loading payments, keeping track of bank balances
• Completion of Statutory Returns (VAT, PAYE, PROVISIONAL TAX and or any other) as well as the calculation thereof.
• Assist with audit preparations
• Inventory basic control knowledge

Minimum requirements

• BComm in Accounting
• 3 years accounting or audit experience
• Completed or 3rd year SAIPA articles (advantageous)
• Advanced Pastel knowledge
• Pilot knowledge (advantageous)
• Highly computer literate including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to prioritise and multi-task
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Able to work under pressure and to deadlines

Reporting level:

Candidate will report directly to the senior accountant.

Remuneration

Cost to company R15,000 per month, negotiable based on relevant qualification and experience.
