Our client is a Cape Town based Fund Manager with investments in many mid market banks across Africa. They have raised fresh capital to expand their portfolio and seek a highly experienced Strategy and Operations executive to assist their investment team lead their initiatives to evaluate new investment opportunities and develop their current assets .

Operating at Director and EXCO level within this fund, and with board seats on their portfolio companies, your primary role will be to drive value creating initiatives which ultimately improve bottom line business performance i.e. market penetrations strategy, operating and risk frameworks, including credit, optimisation of technology including FinTech etc. you will build a team to support you and select and project manage external consultants to assist with implementation

To secure this high profile role you will need a minimum of 10 years experience of working across Africa in banks, across multiple jurisdictions in a senior role across multiple disciplines. This experience could be as an internal consultant driving value projects, or as an external consult with a large banking strategy and operational improvement firm.

Additionally you will need strong financial modelling skills to assist the investment team understand how your value creation initiatives will impact bottom line business profitability.
