Key Purpose

Provide Inspection Authority service for certification/ re-certification/ modification and repair of pressurized equipment and approval of inspection intervals thereby ensuring integrity and safety of pressurized equipment at Refinery

Key Responsibilities

• Specific Outcomes Health, Safety, Environment & Quality
• Communicate, interpret and adhere to Engen’s HSEQ policies and ZeTo rules to ensure individual safety and that of others, safeguard business operations and Engen’s compliance to industrial requirements.
• Pressurized equipment Integrity Management
• Specify quality requirements for procurement and adjudicate tender process for pressurized equipment manufacture. Review vendor documents for compliance to codes/standards. Surveillance during manufacture of pressurized equipment. Management of non-conformance
• Turnaround Planning and Execution Participation
• Attend construction meetings and provide context/technical inputs into overcoming problems/challenges. Ensure integrity/ accuracy and availability of records. All procedures and standards up to date and maintained as per quality management system

Education & Experience

• Matric essential
• 6 years AIA and Reliability experience
• SAQCC (IPE)

Experience in the following:

• ASME Pressure Vessel and Piping Codes; BS 1113/ EN12952/ TEMA and API 510/ 560/ 653/ 570/ 573 and NBIC-23 Std ASME PCC-2
• SANS 10227/ SANS 17020 and Quality Management System
• Pressure Equipment Regulations and SANS 347

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Knowledge

• Knowledge of PER, SANS 10227 and 17020 standards maintained
• Basic knowledge of Refinery operating procedures
• Knowledge of ASME codes for Design and Fabrication of Pressurised Equipment
• Knowledge of Non Destructive Testing techniques
• Inspection and testing with knowledge of the specific Code of Construction and other statutory requirements
