Educational Requirements (Educational / academic qualifications)

• Matric essential
• Business Degree or Diploma (in related industry) advantageous
• Formal business analysis training advantageous
• Formal testing training advantageous
• Formal SQL training advantageous

Key Performance Areas:

• Production Support
• Provide application support (logs)
• Do root cause analysis of problems
• Assist the business with daily support issues
• Analyse log and understand clients needs
• Replicate errors
• Liaise with the development team and define, agree and document the solution through the log forms
• Liaise with development team for impact analysis
• Prepare data fix scripts
• Provide quotes to client on enhancements
• Document/compile release notes for the log fix/resolution
• Provide standby support
• Release/change management
• Light-Project work – Full SDLC.
• Production Testing
• Compile test packs when required
• Documentation recording of all test results
• Provide test results to the business
• Liaise with the development team if testing unsuccessful
• Provide log UAT support to the business
• Project Testing (QA)
• Compile test packs (including regression)
• Review test packs
• Do functional (application) testing according to test packs
• Do performance testing where relevant
• Documentation recording all test results
• Do log testing if required
• Liaise with development team if testing unsuccessful
• Initiate change control and implement
• UAT Support (on projects)
• Assist internal and external clients with user testing as and when required
• Perform production support in the UAT cycle phase

Prior Work Experience / Background:

• Knowledge of the financial industry (preferably CIS’ or International Mutual Funds).
• Experience in production support, including testing.
• Experience with software implementation projects preferred.
• Experience with working in project teams preferred
• Very technical individual – ex developer
