    Technical Content Developer / Lecturer

    Job description

    In support of this overriding organisational strategy, the strategic objective for the Academy division is governed by the vision:

    • ‘To develop an in-house security accredited certification of best practice approach to information security that will provide IT practitioners with advanced theoretical and practical skills to fill in the growing demand for professionalism in the market in the domain of Information and Cyber Security.’
    • The primary contribution of the Academy is in line with the vision above.
    • The role of the lecturer is to facilitate courses and laboratories lessons in the academy. The lecturer will contribute to the content development and will apply presentation methods wherever necessary. The content developer will take ownership of the technical part of the Academy's programme which will include the creation and deployment of applicable laboratory practical sessions which wil form part of the IS+ or other programmes such as Microsoft Academy, CyberArk, Offensive awareness and others.
    • The lecturer will guide and accompany the interns through their internship programme. They will ensure that the interns are adequately trained and mentored to guarantee successful graduation.
    • They will also assist with the developing of a research arm to the academy.

    Minimum experience:

    • 5 Years' Technical experience in IT Security
    • 2-3 years experience in training/lecturing in a recognised training centre (advantageous)
    • Technical report writing skills
    • Database knowledge and understanding
    • Multi-operting systems (Linux)
    • Experience and solid troubleshooting skills
    • Understanding of endpoint and networking

    Qualifications:

    • Matric
    • BSc (Computer Science/IT) or equivalent
    • Relevant certifications in IT/information security and facilitation
