An established and rapidly expanding Internet Service Provider, specialising in Internet Access & Cloud Hosting Solutions, they are pushing the boundaries of technology and is looking for a fast-learning and agile Systems Administrator to assist their current support administrators and perform advanced tasks related to their expansion.
You will be a part of the Cloud team and will report to the Cloud Engineering Manager. You will collaborate internally with our Service Desk, Development and Network teams, and externally with third party vendors and customers.

Minimum requirements

• BSC Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or  equivalent - Diploma
• 3 years’ experience with Linux and Web Hosting platforms (e.g. LAMP)
• Redhat RHCP certification
• LPIC 1 or higher
• SLES CLP
• Basic Python/Perl proficiency and BASH
• Basic experience with SAN storage, Virtualisation and Orchestration technologies
• VMware certified professional working experience preferred
• Working experience with VMware , vSphere, vCloud Director, NetApp, Solidfire and Veeam

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing their Cloud infrastructure environments in their Datacenters in Cape Town and Johannesburg. In addition, you will be assisting the team in monitoring, managing and supporting the Cloud infrastructure servicesProactive infrastructure, platform and system monitoring, maintenance and management
• Troubleshooting and resolving support issues on our Cloud and for customer systems
• Research, design and testing of potential new Cloud technologies
• Installation, configuration and integration of our Cloud products
• Managing and provisioning our Cloud infrastructure products
• Working directly with major clients in support of the company’s supported cloud infrastructure
