    Sales Representative - Sasolburg

    Job description

    John Crane Africa is expanding. As part of our growth strategy we have an exciting position for Sales Representative in Sasolburg which will support us with continuing to provide the best service to Sasol and Polifin.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Increase and maintain the John Crane market share at existing customers.
    • Promote full range of products at the existing customers.
    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities at ‘new’ & ‘dormant’ customers.
    • Prepare and achieve set annual budgets
    • Regular planned calling on specific customers.
    • Build up good working relationships with customers
    • Assist customer to identify and then resolve problem applications on site, using John Crane products.
    • Influence customer to upgrade to newer technology in identified applications.
    • Influence customers to phase out competitor products with John Crane products.
    • Ensure effective & efficient contract operation.
    • Promote concept of ‘one stop shopping’ at customers.
    • Instead of selling one product to many customers, sell many products to one customer.
    • Service fewer customers, but with a wider range of products.
    • Involve product managers, to assist in promoting new customers.
    • Build an alliances between the company and the customers

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • 3+ years experience with Rotating Equipment (Pump, Compressors, Turbines etc)
    • Qualified tradesman an added advantage
    • Valid Drivers licence
    • Proactive and self-motivated,
    • Entrepreneurial skills and ability to work with limited supervision
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong leadership and influential characteristics
    • Report writing skills
    • Self-disciplined and confident demeanour
    • Effective time management skills style
