    Marketing Director - Temporary

    Job description

    Our South African office is looking for an experienced, digital savvy, hands-on marketing director to drive a blend of demand gen and lead generation activities that tie directly to customer acquisition. The primary focus areas will be to drive net-new lead generation by,

    • Developing digital campaign strategies and overseeing execution
    • Developing targeted nurture strategies and overseeing ongoing optimisation of programmes to drive existing marketing leads down funnel
    • Motivating and directing the local Marketing Manager

    Reporting to the South African Managing Director, the Marketing Director will leverage social, digital channels, content assets, marketing automation as well as other (national) campaign elements such as PR/advertising/creative; with agency support, drive integrated campaign strategies that include buyer engagement tactics, nurture stream planning and optimisation, content development coordination, and tactical sequencing in all stages of the buyer’s journey.

    Qualified candidates must possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, proven project execution, and a deft capability to juggle multiple deliverables with enthusiasm and professionalism. The position will initially be a temporary 3 month contract.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
    • Act as primary point of contact for nurture and net-new digital campaign planning efforts
    • Assist in the development of marketing themes, messages, offers and content needs for each program
    • Track and analyse program metrics against KPIs; make and implement recommendations for ongoing optimisation
    • Create and oversee updates to project plans, PPTs, timelines and tracking documents

    Requirements

    • Minimum 8-10 years of B2B lead generation marketing experience
    • Experience leveraging a marketing automation platform, ideally Market or Eloqua, and Salesforce as part of campaign strategy and execution
    • Proven track record of content usage throughout the buyer’s journey
    • Able to think strategically and act tactically
    • Able to multitask, prioritise and organise a number of concurrent projects under tight time pressure
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop solid working relationships across key functional groups
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
    • Strong copy writing skills
