Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Architect Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions. Manage to iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale.
• Candidate will manipulate and transform data through the use of databases, spreadsheets, and queries for purposes implementing prescribed methodologies and clean and validate data.
• Drive development of statistical techniques and machine learning techniques to model client behaviour and preferences.
• Accountable to translate data analysis findings and research principles into written documents and presentations.
• Collaborate with a team of and business subject matter experts in order to solve complex business problems using advanced data analytics, machine learning and statistics.

Qualifications / Experience

• Information Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar qualification with focus on data analytics/statistics, discipline preferred, or relevant work experience.
• 2-3 years' database programming experience required with at least 1-2 year working in Big Data.
• Data Integration / Transformation Experience
• SQL, R, Microsoft Azure, AWS experience is beneficial.
• Previous experience with Visualization tools like Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau to your advantage.

Preferred skills

• Strong analytical, statistical, data manipulation and modelling skills
• Solid understanding of BI and data solutions, including Power-pivots, cubes, and datamarts. Solid Excel & SQL skills.
• Knowledge of relational SQL databases and SQL in at least one of the following environments: Oracle. Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL. As well as solid understanding of NoSQL databases, Data Lakes, Hadoop and design fundamentals of these technologies.
• Knowledge of PaaS Analytics Platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, SAP HCP or IBM Bluemix.
• Knowledge of visualization tools: Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of Data Mining, Machine Learning and text analysis
• Strong problem-solving ability, combined with a high level of initiative.
• Diligent, self-motivated and self-driven, independent.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
