Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer with extensive experience in the Mining and Metals industry. You will be required to develop and demonstrate skills in process design to complete designs in all areas of a process plant across various systems, unit operations and process equipment, in alignment with Amec Foster Wheeler's organizational objectives and standards as well as client requirements. Other requirements will be:

• Lead in the execution and commissioning of such designed Process plants
• Participate in Project Process reviews
• Lead and assist in the cost estimation of projects in order to evaluate their economic feasibility
• Advise operations personnel on process changes required in order to optimize or expand pre-existing circuits
• Interact with Clients / Client's representatives in order to ensure quality and cost effective deliverables in a timely manner

Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor of Chemical / Process / Metallurgy or B. Tech
• Registered with ECSA or be eligible for registration
• In-depth technical knowledge of process plant design and operation, typically gained from over six years’ experience in a projects / design area and a minimum of 15 years’ total experience in the mining industry
• Advanced computer literacy skills in MS Office, especially Excel
• Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to lead and manage teams of process engineers within a diverse study, project or proposal team
• Ability to manage activities on or ahead of schedule and on or below budget
• Ability to deliver best practice plant design, with emphasis on cost-effective engineering
• Ability to communicate process requirements to other members of the study, project or proposal team
• Ability to recognize the commercial implications interest in study, project and proposal execution
