    IT Support

    Job description

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.
    • Perform Helpdesk functions.
    • Troubleshoot computer hardware, software or network
    • Install new software on users computers
    • Clean, modify and repair computer hardware including monitors, keyboard and printers
    • Support IT projects as required
    • Provide instructions and continuous training to end users
    • Develop procedures and supporting documentation as required
    • Required knowledge, skills and abilities
    • The ideal candidate would have the following requirements:
    • Previous Helpdesk experience an advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems
    • Experience with using and troubleshooting MS OFFICE within a network environment (permissions, calendar sharing, and delegation)
    • Understanding of PC hardware and server set-up and configuration.
    • Ability to work in an international, dynamic and multicultural environment, and a proven ability to work in remote locations.
    • Good English oral and written communication skills and good team skills.
    • Ability to identify and work to priorities, to manage multiple tasks, to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
    • An analytical thinker, be proactive and have the ability to problem solve
    • The ability to work accurately with minimal supervision on routine reception / administration task.

    Experience

    • Experience in both Domain and Workgroup environments,
    • Remote support for both desktop and server platforms, Provide basic training to end users on applicable software
    • Familiar with hardware and peripherals of multiple vendors, printers, scanners and communication devices.
    • Able to Perform installations and updates for all IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, etc
    • Experience in incident recording systems and diagnosis, Previous experience working in a similar role providing technical support, help desk experience and experience with local area networks and Wi-Fi an asset
    • Networking (LAN, Wi-Fi)
    • Router, Switch and network device configuration.

    About you

    • Grade 12 required
    • MCSE, A+ , N+ or similar
