Patient Liaison Officer at St John of God Health Care

The Position

St John of God Berwick Hospital are now looking for a Casual Patient Liaison Officer to be a key point of contact for patients, clinicians, practice managers and health funds in regards to a patient’s pre-admission, admission, discharge and billing. You will also assist with reception duties as required.

Health fund knowledge and ability to conduct health fund checks is essential for further consideration.

The casual position will be covering shifts Monday to Sunday from 6:15AM to 9PM.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• A willingness and capacity to embrace the mission and value of St John of God Health Care.
• Health fund knowledge, including knowledge of Health Fund Rebates and Fee Structures.
• Conduct Health fund checks
• Experience with hospital patient administration systems
• Knowledge and experience in general business practices and procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and workload using time management skills
• Ability to work as a team member and contribute to a productive team environment
