    Travel Co-ordinator

    Job description

    Key responsibilities

    The Travel Coordinator will provide a seamless and efficient travel booking solution to the entire JUMO team.

    • Assist with the implementation of the newly appointed travel service provider
    • Manage and co-ordinate all travel requests and bookings that are not done by the travel self-help system.
    • Issue full domestic and international tickets and reservations including transfers, B&B, visa requirements etc that are not done by the Travel self-help system
    • Conclude complex travel arrangements for JUMO groups timeously, accurately and efficiently
    • Ensuring all Jumo travellers details are accurately captured and updated when necessary onto the travel portal
    • Assist with training new and existing employees on how to use the travel portal
    • Providing query resolution within 24 hours of request, subject to all relevant info being supplied by the requester
    • Participate in meetings with regard to group travel
    • Accountability for a comprehenseive travel check-list
    • Track and report/escalate any serious problems to the Manager
    • Compliance with the Company Travel Policy
    • Assist with reporting from the online travel system
    • Back-up Receptionist as/when required

    Skills and competencies

    Requirements (Qualifications and Experience)

    • A relevant travel and tourism certificate / diploma will be highly advantageous
    • Minimum 3yrs experience in a similar role in a travel agency and / or an airline or within a corporate environment
    • Basic computer literacy in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
    • Must have previously worked on a Worldwide Travel management system
