PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Implements the Company's Social Media Strategy through own efforts over periods of time including online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, promotions,

Role Description & Key Result Areas:

• Business Specific Objectives
• Actively engage with communities on all platforms and create professional, informative yet entertaining dialogue, including the co-ordination of live events. Work with the relevant teams to ensure up-to-date social media content and creative.
• Create new and innovative mechanisms to relay messaging on multiple and emerging social platforms.
• Manage presence on social networking sites including new and emerging relevant platforms, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed.
• Manage social media campaigns.

Personal Effectiveness

• Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.
• Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results.
• Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality for periods of 1 day to a maximum of 3 months.
• Reporting
• Regularly feedback insights gained from social media monitoring into the Marketing and Business Unit teams, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion.
• Research
• Co-ordinate content via an editorial calendar.
• Co-ordinate internal resources to ensure correct content distribution.
• Ensure that the various platforms are monitored.
• Ensure risk elements are appropriately covered and escalated in line with the calations process.
• Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
• Monitor trends in social media tools and applications.
• Stakeholder Management
• Co-ordinate campaigns and social media presence for multiple stakeholders.
• Responsible for creating social media marketing/communications plans to provide direction for campaigns.
• Implements the company Social Media Strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging brand adoption.
• Works with the Marketing and Communications segment, Business Units and Digital
• Media teams to support their respective projects and campaigns ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a social media referral network.
• Maintains a live social media presence at events and campaigns.

Qualifications and experience:

Role Requirements

• University Degree or appropriate formal qualification.
• Minimum three years’ experience in Digital Media.
• Social media experience is essential.
