    Head of Anglophone Africa

    Job description

    Job Summary

    The Head of Anglophone Africa is responsible for leading and managing the sales and revenue activities within the assigned region in accordance with corporate policies, strategic goals and objectives and in compliance with local rules and regulations in order to achieve defined targets.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Develops plans and strategies for developing business that support the Company’s revenue and profit objectives. Creates a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
    • Formulates the annual budget, ensures revenue and profit targets are met and monitors capital expenditures to maximize return on investment.
    • Implements and embeds a strong communication rhythm to drive collaboration and transparency across the business and shared services functions.
    • Maintains and demonstrates a strong culture of compliance across the region.
    • Ensures compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, as well as, the Company’s policies and procedures.
    • Manages and supports as applicable, the implications of any regulatory or legislative change in the market.
    • Manages customer expectations and contributes to a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Provides detailed and accurate revenue and expense forecasting. Develops a rolling 3 year business plan to identify growth and investment opportunities, communicates and monitors its execution in order to achieve the regional vision.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education

    Degree educated

    Experience

    10+ years’ relevant experience including direct and significant experience operating within the Francophone Africa region.

    Essential Skills

    • Demonstrable experience of operating at a similar level of seniority.
    • Demonstrable capability in building relationships within a matrix, multinational environment working across multiple functions and geographies and engaging with various stakeholders as and when required.
    • Previous experience in leading and developing teams within the assigned territory is essential.
    • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and calibrate teams for success.
    • Excellent presentational skills - able to give a polished presentation in a variety of formats, informally and formally.
    • Strong commercial acumen – able to identify and work with key business partners to maximize business results.
    • Solution driven with the willingness and ability to implement innovative ideas and improve working methodologies.
    • Able to breakdown complex issues into simple components and build/implement required action plans.
    • Excellent project management skills; ability to determine key priorities and manage outcomes to timeline.
    • Considers and takes into account the impact of own decisions on all aspects of the business.
    • Significant experience of managing budgets and taking responsibility for P&L.
    • Computer literate - able to use Microsoft suite of packages.
    • Ability and willingness to travel extensively across Francophone and to our office in Morocco in particular.
    • Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
