    Business Development Manager - South Africa

    Job description

    BPS World are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join an International Services organisation located in South Africa.

    As the Business Development Manager you would be responsible for Identifying, qualifying, contacting, and development of new customers and business. Building rapport, nurturing and strengthening existing regional and local accounts and relationships.

    Main responsibilities

    • Meet and exceed new business revenue targets
    • Promote and sell services to targeted entities in South Africa
    • Face to face sales calls to targeted and qualified accounts
    • Make cold calls to potential new accounts to create new opportunities
    • Work together with other BD staff in the group to develop potential new accounts
    • Create leads and opportunities for other locations, including regional and global opportunities
    • Network at local related events to raise the profile
    • Maintain a pipeline opportunity pipeline that is approximately four times the amount of your annual sales target

    Skills and Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 years exceptional sales experience and success of selling a service
    • Successful new business development history (“hunter”) across multiple market segments
    • The ability to call on upper management level clients through phone and in-person sales presentations
    • The ability meeting sales goals and action plans and success achieving those goals
    • The ability to sell contracted services and global business
    • The ability to demonstrate a customer focused approach to problem solving and resolution skills
    • Strong innovation and experimentation skills
