Senior Solutions Architect at Exxaro Resources

Job description

PURPOSE:

• To provide and maintain business process architecture to align solution with business processes
• To investigate solution trends and develop and maintain a solution lifecycle plan
• To take responsible for the conversion of requirements into architecture designs for either of the following; PAM, weighbridge, MES/Plant, mining, MRM, automation and other OT solutions
• To act as a solution expert to provide guidance and facilitate decision-making onchanges throughout the design and delivery process 
• To participate in project life cycles from initial kick-off through requirements analysis design and implementation phases.

• Establishing business ownership across business value chain
• Business acceptance of IM solution provision processes and governance
• Facilitating business planning for system and solution requirements
• Skills scarcity
• Pace of change in technology
• Understanding complexity of business decisions on technology and vice versa

QUALIFICATIONS

• B Degree (Hons) (Relevant) ( Essential/Minimum and/or )
• BSc (Hons) Computer Science ( Essential/Minimum )
• Management Development Programme ( Essential/Minimum )

Requirements:

• 8-10 years experience and knowledge of ICT technologies
• Experience in optimisation of business processes in mining environment with use of technology
• Knowledge of best practice trends and solutions (4 years)
• IT solution design and delivery, preferably in a diverse set of roles (e.g. programmer, business analyst, architect, project manager)
• Proven business aptitude in one or more relevant business area (e.g. Plant, mining, business intelligence) (3 years)
