    Account Manager

    Job description

    MultiChoice is the leading Video Entertainment business on the continent, and DStv Digital Media is responsible for much of the innovation within the digital broadcast environment. This makes for an exhilarating environment with unlimited potential for growth.

    The role:

    • Services and information which the individual must provide to external individuals or groups, or one another to accomplish the organisations mission and strategy.
    • Manage client portfolio
    • Negotiations, selling, servicing, reviews, presentations, proposals, recons & commitment tracking
    • Identify and explore opportunities and industry / media trends locally & globally to increase and grow market share - industry relationships and knowledge of client and channel brands key
    • Be-spoke media solutions for Advertisers
    • Meeting monthly and annual sales targets across linear & non-linear/VOD television and digital
    • Create client partnerships that build and deliver the revenue objectives of the Organisation, and achieve the investment and audience goals for the client
    • Daily client interaction, liaison, and problem-solving
    • Networking
    • Build new relationships and maintain existing client relationships
    • Events & function – may be after-hours
    • Hunting – gain new and missing business - especially in changing media landscape
    • COMPETENCIES

    • A sound understanding of the media industry – particularly the TV Industry
    • A sound understanding of TV Broadcast & Media - particularly TV
    • Existing Advertiser/Media Industry relationships and the proven ability to build

    KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS

    • Matric
    • Sales / Marketing tertiary qualification
    • Knowledge and contacts of the Advertising / Media industry
    • Minimum of 7-years Advertising / Media Sales experience - ideally TV
    • Fully computer literate (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Office etc.)
