Minimum Requirements

• BSc Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), BTech: Electrical (Light Current)
• 5 Years appropriate experience
• ISO 9001 quality management system as applied in product design and manufacture

Advantageous

• Knowledge of aerospace and Defence quality management system (AS9100) requirements
• Exposure to software quality assurance principles and practice
• QA experience in electronic product research and development
• An understanding of Systems Engineering approach to the design and development of complex electronic systems
• Experience in applying problem solving and quality improvement tools and techniques
• Recommended Competencies / skills

Key responsibilities

• As part of a team ensure that quality is built-in at all stages of the product life cycle
• Provide quality inputs to product specifications
• Provide independent assurance that products have been designed, assembled and tested to specifications and customer requirements
• Audit product data packs
• Validate test equipment and test documentation
• Ensure that product and documentation changes are implemented in accordance with the documented procedures
• Implement effective product and process control
• Conduct formal QA release of products
• Participate in quality problem solving
• Monitor and report on quality metrics, issues and risks
• Participate in internal, external and supplier quality audits
• Interact with customers and suppliers on quality issues
• Provide inputs into the business strategy for continual improvement of products and processes
