Software QA Tester at Euromonitor International

The position

The QA team is part of the IT department, providing Software Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) for a variety of Euromonitor development projects, which include web applications (Passport, Research Monitor, e.Com, Intranet and Castle) as well as client-server applications such as EMMA and Grinder.

Our objective is to ensure that software meets business and end-user requirements and ensure that the software is robust and stable.

The QA team is located in Bangalore and Cape Town, working closely with all software development teams in Cape Town, Chicago, London, Vilnius and Bangalore.

Main responsibilities

• Write test cases based on the business / technical requirements
• Execute tests cases in the related test environment to check the functionality of the code
• Conduct Peer Test Case Reviews & provide feedback based on missing coverage or test runs.
• Design, Record and Execute Automated Tests
• Generate & Manage the Automated Test Execution Results
• Create & Maintain Test Execution plans including Release and Regression Plans
• Find, Troubleshoot, Log and Manage bugs/defects found during testing & prioritize them based on criticality/business value.

• Knowledge of web and database technologies such as HTML, XML, SQL, JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM processes would be beneficial as would exposure to Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
• Test automation experience
• Self-confidence and diplomatic skills to deal with a range of people
