POSITION SYNOPSIS:

The purpose of the role is to direct and manage capital projects from conceptual phase to project close out phase, in accordance with the relevant framework, standards and processes ensuring performance targets of HSEC, Cost, Quality and Time.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a Degree / BTECH/National Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years intensive experience in a projects related environment;
• Experience in leading and managing contractors on site to deliver favourable outcomes is essential;
• Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders is essential;
• Experience in delivering projects in a mining/processing environment is advantageous.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for Project concept phase that included Project Registering, Develop of business case and Pre –feasibility studies of projects;
• Responsible for Project feasibility phase that include Project Scope, Project review, Procurement Process, awarding of contracts, project planning, scheduling and execution and project cash flow forecast;
• Responsible for project execution and closure phase;
• Engages with Engineering sub-functions, Operational and Asset sub functions and external consultants, contractors, suppliers and vendors as requires to coordinate expertise and support for execution of capital projects;
• Complies with the project management framework as defined for the Operation;
• Identify material risks for projects execution and ensure critical controls are implemented and effective;
• Create plans and actions to manage the risks.
