How You Can Make a Difference
Since 1990, the rate of maternal deaths in Africa has almost halved. More women and men are better able to plan and space their children. Young people are more empowered in sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights. Yet there is still much to be done.
As Assistant Representative, you would substantively contribute to the management of UNFPA activities in the areas of population and development, reproductive health, with a special focus on Adolescents and Youth, as well gender. You facilitate and coordinate technical advisers and experts and promote partnerships, synergy and strategic alliances with counterparts in government, multilateral and bilateral agencies and civil society. You will contribute to UN systems coordination through participation in policy dialogue and provision of inputs into joint common system initiatives.
You Have
Your Education
Advanced degree in Public Health, Medicine, Sociology, Demography, Gender, International Relations, International Development, Economics, Public Administration, Management or other related social science field.
