Job description

Role:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction in the Application space. Participate in the development of the strategy for the Department.
• Responsible for the management of resources that estimate and carry out the development, testing, documentation and delivery of applications.
• Ensures that programmes of applications development work are planned and monitored and that results are delivered to time, budget and quality targets and in accordance with appropriate standards.
• May be responsible for the selection and planning of a programme of projects and related activities to achieve a set of business objectives.
• Responsible for the development of a systems architecture that describes the complete set of components and interfaces that make up application solutions to specified business requirements in a large, complex organisation. A

Requirements:

• A B Degree is a minimum
• Knowledge of the Retail sector is preferred
• Managing systems programming, systems administration, Applications Support and Maintenance and Systems Development environment
• 4-7 years experience in a senior management role
