    Account Manager

    Job description

    Snapplify is looking for an Account Manager (Education Sales and School Relationship Manager) to join their team.

    Remuneration: R15 000 to R25 000 per month | Type: Contract/Permanent | Location: Johannesburg (Snapplify Office/Warehouse)

    The awesome work you’ll be doing:

    At Snapplify, an account manager’s role is to be the human face of the business. As an Account Manager, you’ll identify opportunities, and grow our client relationships effectively. You’ll focus on schools, colleges, universities and academic booksellers, and ensure that they’re well informed and supported as they transition towards digital learning. You’ll assist in the development of effective strategies, based on key insights, as well as identify opportunities for partners across the education and publishing industry. You’ll develop and provide presentations on Snapplify products to prospective customers, and negotiate and manage contracts. Most importantly, you’ll actively drive Snapplify's customer acquisition, conversion and retention goals.

    Skills And Qualifications:

    We’re less worried about your qualifications, and more concerned with your actual skill and passion for what you do. If you can prove your skill and passion to us, then we don’t need a piece of paper.

    • 3-4 years previous experience in Book Publishing is advantageous
    •  Experience in the education sector, as well as close established relationships with academic institutions (particularly in the Gauteng area)
    •  Sales experience
    •  BA degree or equivalent practical experience (3 years)
    •  Ability to speak, read and write in English
    •  Proven technical ability with CRM programs a plus (we use Base)
    •  Strong communication skills, persuasive, and able to pitch to prospective clients face-to-face and over the phone
    •  Ability to work independently
    •  Experience in working towards weekly and monthly metrics and targets
    • Be the best person for the job:

    You care about clients, and want to help them pinpoint the right mix of Snapplify products to suit their needs. You've worked with either publishers or academic institutions in the past. Plus, you know the industry inside-out (and if not, you're constantly learning). Not only are you comfortable with technology and a wide range of online media, you're a go-getter: you'll be out of the office often, traveling to trade shows and meeting with prospective customers. You work as well independently as you do on a small team. Above all, you're proactive, self-managed and your sales-focus helps us expand our new and existing client relationships. If you provide amazing client service and want to shape the future of how technology is used in education, we need you on our team.

    Please note that you will need a reliable vehicle to carry out this role, and will also need to travel to KZN from time to time.
