    Fee Income Specialist

    Job description

    ROLE DESCRIPTION:

    Sygnia Limited, a company listed on the JSE and a diversified financial services provider, seeks a Fee Income Specialist to join their team. The role requires a highly motivated, focused and articulate individual. The individual should be professional and would enjoy working at a top performing asset manager in a hardworking, motivated, yet dynamic team.

    The successful applicant will report to the Chief Operating Officer. This role will require interaction with the multiple divisions across the business, including finance, compliance, investments and administration. It will therefore require an individual that is flexible and willing to learn fast in a very broad role. Good communication skills will also be essential.

    DUTIES AND DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • You will be responsible for the drafting and revising of institutional proposal forms
    • You will be responsible for the document management (including governance) of fee arrangements, policy documents and mandates
    • You will be involved in the calculation of fee income
    • You will be in evaluating and improving internal controls around the fee income processes, including spec’ing further automation of the fee calculation process
    • You will be responsible for the ongoing calculation and analysis of product costs
    • You will be responsible for managing client queries associated with fee mandates
    • You will be responsible for liaising / dealing with auditors with regards to fee income

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • You are a newly qualified CA(SA), or
    • B.Bus.Sci or B.Com graduate who has had financial services industry experience, specifically relating to fees
    • Previous financial services experience would be an advantage

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES

    • Advanced Microsoft excel computer skills
    • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
    • Ability to remain flexible when task requirements change with business needs
    • Unwavering ethical standards
    • Ability to work within a team yet also bridge between different teams
    • Ability to set own goals and be self-motivated
    • Good attention to detail
    • Ability to work within clear deadlines
