A great opportunity exists for a young and motivated individual to fill the position of an Internal Commercial Administrator at a shipping & logistics company, based in The Point, Durban. This positions offers great growth potential for any individual that is looking to get into the Logistics Industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

The below mentioned duties include, but are not limited to:

• Requesting rates from suppliers & logistics team
• Daily Quoting – Response within 24hrs
• Follow ups on all quotes sent
• Compiling and Maintaining rates files / data base / registers
• Monthly fuel increases & Annual rate increases
• Drafting Presentations
• Doing research for various individuals within the team as and when required
• Answering ringing telephones.
• Arranging snacks / lunches for management and board meetings
• Drafting minutes of meetings and distributing the same.

Minimum Requirements

• Good communication skills (oral & written)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent figure orientation skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Ability to use initiative and to work independently
• Attention to detail and aptitude for accuracy
• Professionalism & good time management
• Computer literacy (including MS Outlook, Work, Excel, Power Point)
• Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 8)
• Matric 12, higher qualifications in supply chain / logistics will be an advantage
• Reporting to: Senior Commercial Administrator

Start Date: 01 October 2017.
