Role Purpose

Lead testing capability and ensure that all test management principles is applied in order to contribute meaningfully to the Metropolitan Retail and MMI strategy.

Requirements

• B-Degree in Information Technology (i.e. Computer Science; Informatics; etc) or relevant diploma
• ISTQB in Advanced Test Management (or equivalent)
• Project Management (preferred
• 3 - 5 years’ experience as a test analyst within an insurance or financial services environment
• 2-3 years management experience
• Understanding of Solutions Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensure that the correct standards, disciplines and processes are in place
• Take accountability for the correct functioning of the key activities within this area as per agreed standards
• Ensure effective prioritisation and allocation of resources
• Take responsibility for all phases of testing and the management of the testing activities within Retail IT
• Contribute to the organisational goals by ensuring that quality business systems are implemented
• Provide on an ongoing base input into Metropolitan Retail IT Strategy
• Ensure that delivery is in accordance to business requirement and expectation
• Alignment with all areas of Metropolitan Retail IT to ensure that there is good integration between these environments
• Facilitating automation across the Retail IT systems development life cycle
• Develop and communicate an overall testing strategy for Retail IT
• Manage effectiveness of testing processes
• Provide mentoring to test leads and testers
