    Reduced Risk Products: Business Development Executive

    Job description

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    This position relates to Philip Morris South Africa’s (PMSA) Reduced Risk Products (RRP’s) and specifically the IQOS brand, a heat-not-burn tobacco product. The purpose of the role is to develop a new channel approach to maximize sales opportunities.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Identify commercial opportunities across launch areas to generate sales and awareness of our RRP products
    • Secure consent of business partners to open retail selling points.
    • Prepare business proposals
    • Able to present PMSA transformation strategy and RRP propositions with a view to securing business opportunities
    • Networking to assist in creating business opportunities
    • Managing planning and execution with the highest quality
    • Commercial Opportunities
    • Achieve set number of commercial opportunities to sustain route to market model.
    • Achieve a predetermined conversion rate to RRP.
    • Relationship Management
    • Networking to enable identification of key business stakeholders to pitch business opportunities.
    • Work with internal teams including Commercial Department, Marketing and Customer Care to optimize commercial opportunities, track customer conversions and suggest appropriate new communities / businesses to engage.
    • Present plans / proposed opportunities to potential business partners.
    • Work with external agencies to plan effective execution and/or roll out of secured business plans.
    • Compliance & Legal Framework Apply the highest standards of integrity and full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as all applicable laws.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

    • Bcom or equivalent in Sales, Marketing or Business studies.
    • 8+ year in sales, business development or marketing
    • 3 years of middle management
