Job description

AutoTrader is looking for an IT Systems Administrator who is ready to take on an exciting challenge in our IT department.

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring and management of backups
• Veeam Backup and recovery
• Symantec Backup exec
• Microsoft DPM
• Daily checking of server health and event logs
• Windows sever event logs
• Server related tickets in Connectwise
• Linux server log files
• Antivirus health montiring and threat containment
• Symantec Endpoint Protection
• Kaspersky Antivirus
• Assisting the desktop team where required with service ticket load
• Connectwise support tickets as and when required
• Deployment of new laptops and desktops where required
• Windows 7
• OSX
• iOS
• Testing of new software and operating system technology reporting back to the IT manager
• Occasional visits to the branches as required for technical support issues
• Management and moitoring of firewall traffic
• Fortigate Firewalls
• Implimenting group policy changes on active directory
• Windows server 2012 Active Directory
• Exchange administration
• Exchange 2013
• Server disk space monitoring and management
• Connectwise / Labtech and tickets related to server performance

• Server operating systems
• Linux CentOS
• Windows server 2003, 2008 and 2012
• OSX Server 10.5x
• Active Directory administration
• Windows server 2012
• Exchange 2013 administration
• Desktop and mobile operating systems
• Windows 7
• Windows XP
• Windows 8
• OS X from 10.6x to Yosemite and later
• iOS for iPhone and iPad
• Some exposure to Linux an advantage
• Strong documentation skills (infrastructure information and configuration documentation)
• Some exposure to VLANs and switches
• Patching network points
• Troubleshooting network connectivity issues between switches
• Regular backups of switch configurations

• Ability to handle pressure
• Work well with people within the organisation
• Problem solve new technologies
