    Business Development Manager

    Job description

    • Core focus of the incumbent of this position is responsible for the sales and new business development of the service offerings of SensePost.
    • Role involves developing new business in new accounts (where applicable), providing a high level of face to face interaction with new and strategic clients.
    • The Business Development Manager will canvass the market for new opportunities. It is envisaged that this will be predominantly in the Gauteng region, and occasionally in other regions within South Africa.
    • The Business Development Manager will prepare marketing presentation material for client, for face to face presentations, discussions and solution crafting/scenario building with new and existing clients, with the assistance of SensePost Technical Specialists.
    • The incumbent should be able to work under pressure and as part of a highly motivated team. Liaison with internal staff and customers must be maintained on a professional level at all times. Candidate must be pro-active and focused on developing new business relationships and generating business from existing strategic accounts.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Business Development
    • Account Development and retention
    • Defined ability to troubleshoot and solve customer problems
    • Ability to engage with customers on all levels, with the focus on verbal and written communication.
    • Knowledge sharing and education within responsible base – ability to demonstrate/train when required
    • Basic Report Management
    • Methodical and diligent record keeping and database management – attention to detail is a must have

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Keep abreast of technological trends in the industry and the services offered by SensePost, from audit through to compliance, positioning these services as part of Global Best Practices for information security
    • Interface with SensePost colleagues, absorbing the relevant knowledge to be able to sell and implement these services
    • Call in support from the relevant technical Sensepost specialists to assist in the sales, marketing and pre-sales function. These include marketing material, proposals, presentations, blog posts, white papers and other publishing material
    • Involvement in budgeting and planning activities should this be relevant and required
