Accountant at CAB Foods

• CAB Foods (PTY) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the smooth operation of the finance department and support organisational performance through strong financial systems and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coach finance team members, set goals, and conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee month-end procedures, financial statements, journals, provisions and reporting.
• Manage bank accounts, cash books, reconciliations and cash flow planning.
• Review and monitor debtors and creditors processes.
• Ensure compliance with SARS submissions, VAT201, EMP201, CIPC and tax planning.
• Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register.
• Prepare for and manage annual audits.
• Drive innovation, process improvements and organizational efficiencies.
• Oversee payroll administration, submissions, and payroll journals.
• Maintain strong reporting and record-keeping systems.
• Support HR, MBU and training functions.
• Execute general finance duties, budgeting, reforecasting and cost-saving initiatives.
• Uphold high standards of personal excellence, leadership and communication.

Requirements:

• Strong accounting background with proven experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements
