    Accountant

    About the job

    • The ideal candidate will be involved with management accounts, financial planning, budgeting, cost analysis and the reporting of budget variances. Moreover, the candidate must have a strong background in retail or FMCG environments. 

    Responsibilities

    • Manage trial balances 
    • Process monthly journals 
    • Manage the fixed asset register 
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations 
    • Prepare monthly management accounts
    • Preparation and submission of VAT returns 
    • To uphold and promote company values and culture 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
    • SAICA or SAIPA Articles
    • 2 years post articles in an retail / manufacturing / FMCG environment
