• A well-established, multi-generational business operating across retail and wholesale channels is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their finance team in a full-time, onsite capacity. The company supplies a wide range of glassware, kitchenware, and giftware to the hospitality and interior industries, with an additional in-house branding and printing division.
• The role reports directly to the Financial Manager and is responsible for the full spectrum of day-to-day accounting functions, including reconciliations, financial controls, and transactional processing. This is a hands-on position suited to a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and values accuracy, accountability, and strong financial governance

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting as a major and Finance as a subject) or equivalent tertiary qualification
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
• Strong accounting and reconciliation experience
• Advanced or above-average Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience working with accounting software
• Experience with Microsoft 365
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Process journals accurately and timeously
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations
• Conduct intercompany account reconciliations
• Generate invoices and credit notes
• Allocate customer payments and reconcile customer accounts
• Manage and resolve outstanding balances
• Handle and resolve customer and supplier queries
• Assist with ad hoc finance and accounting tasks as required
