Accounts Assistant at Salt South Africa

The role:

• This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career in finance operations within a dynamic environment. You will take ownership of day-to-day finance processes while gaining exposure to multi-entity operations, reconciliations, and cash management.

Key responsibilities:

• Processing supplier invoices and executing payment runs
• Managing supplier onboarding and maintaining accurate records
• Posting and allocating cash receipts, monitoring aged receivables
• Performing daily bank reconciliations and supporting month-end close
• Assisting with audit requests and documentation
• Maintaining process documentation and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Supporting ad hoc finance projects as required

Requirements:

• 2-5 years’ experience in AP, AR, or combined finance operations
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
• Understanding of VAT and basic accounting treatment
• Exposure to multi-entity or multi-currency environments advantageous
• Experience with Business Central desirable
