Accounts Payable Officer x2 at The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA)

Key Outputs: 

The successful candidate will report to the Supervisor: Accounts Payable; and their responsibilities will include: 

• Ensuring that payments to service providers are processed timeously. 
• Following up on monthly payments and contract payments. 
• Ensuring all invoices are paid as and when due. 
• Obtaining monthly statements at the end of every month.
• Preparing monthly general ledger reconciliations. 
• Ensuring all supplier accounts and expense accounts are reviewed for compliance at month-end and year-end. 
• Ensuring that all supplier accounts are up to date 
• Assisting Internal Auditors and External Auditors with information when requested.

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Accounting or Finance Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5). 
• Accounting or Finance Degree (NQF Level 7) will be an added advantage. 
• Minimum 4 years’ work experience in the Finance environment of which 2 years must be in accounts payable.
• Intermediate proficiency level in MS Excel will be an added advantage. 
• Experience in working on JDE will be an added advantage.
