Actuarial Analyst (FTC) at Munich Re

In this role at Munich Re of Africa, you will be expected to:

• Be part of different data analytics and digital solutions teams in the capacity of an actuarial domain expert to fulfill project specific tasks such as life contingency work, data analysis, creating and editing report content and coordinating flow of project specific content between team members.
• Be part of coordinating digital projects.
• Manage ongoing actuarial and administrative responsibilities in digital projects deployed by MRE with different team members.
• Market research of digitalisation and reporting on this.
• Different other traditional actuarial functions such as experience analyses as the need arises.
   

Your Profile:

• Actuarial Science graduate, with at least 2 years of work experience.
• An excellent academic record, with minimum of 4 exemptions (Average of 65% and above).
• Affinity to programming, technology and digitalisation.
• Interest in applying Actuarial Science into the cloud environment and ability to see how technology can be used to solve traditional actuarial and insurance problems.
• Excellent organisation skills as needed by tightly managed projects.
• Attention to detail and to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
   

Exposure May Include (department dependent):

• Work with cloud technology such as APIs and cloud-based insurance tools.
• Code e.g. Python, R, Julia.
• Build PowerBI dashboards and working in Azure environment.
• Create automated workflows.
