Actuarial Consultant: Reporting at Sanlam Group

Core Tasks

• There are a variety of tasks to assist with providing management information, preparing valuation results, managing with profit products and maintaining systems and process to deliver quality results.

Tasks To Be Performed Include

• Assist with producing monthly profit, reserve and VNB results
• Monthly Financial Soundness Valuation and other statutory reporting requirements for Affluent Risk products
• Produce half-yearly risk capital and Embedded value results
• Maintain, develop and improve DCS and Prophet models
• Ensure model governance for valuation and EV reporting purposes
• Assist with preparing forecasts, annual budgets and other management reporting requirements as required
• Ad-hoc investigations
   

What will make you successful in this role:

• Actuarial student with good progress with actuarial studies
• Experience with Life insurance products.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Prophet, DCS and modelling experience will be advantageous
   

Qualification And Experience

• Degree and have passed 9-12 subjects and minimum of 2 years experience.
