Actuarial Manager | Actuarial and Insurance Solutions (Life Insurance) at Deloitte

Job Description

Our Johannesburg office is looking for an experienced Actuarial Manager. To support the Leadership Team in the delivery of services to / at client premises on delegated engagement / project.  There will be a strong focus on developing and providing IFRS17 based solutions for our clients.

• Reserving, and capital modelling
• IFRS 17, Solvency II and other regulatory projects
• Large scale projects to transform insurer’s financial, actuarial, and reporting processes
• Actuarial specialist work on external audits of a wide range of insurers
• Due Diligence and support for a variety of insurer Corporate Transactions
• Model validation work

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science (honours advantageous)
• Nearly qualified or qualified actuary 

Experience:

• Minimum 4-6 years working experience  
• Majority of working experience in the Life Insurance actuarial domain, preferably on a wide range of life insurance products
• Strong actuarial valuation experience
• Strong experience of capital and solvency calculations, reserving and reinsurance will be advantageous
• Specific experience in IFRS17 will be an advantage
• Proven ability to manage and direct the work of junior team members
