The Experience & Skills You Need

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Progress toward actuarial qualification (e.g. ASSA, IFoA).
• Experience in insurance or financial services preferred.
• Strong experience in Python-based actuarial modelling and automation.
• Familiarity with IFRS17 and FSI reporting frameworks
• Skilled in developing predictive models for policyholder behaviour (e.g. lapse, mortality, retrenchment).
• Experience in conducting experience investigations and assumption setting.

Your key Responsibilities and Impact

• You will support Capitec Insurance by enhancing financial performance through actuarial modelling, automation of valuation processes, and predictive analytics. You will play a key role in building and maintaining models that inform pricing, risk scoring, and reporting frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and enhancing actuarial data infrastructure.
• Implementing control frameworks to ensure data integrity and model governance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical outputs with business needs
