Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

• A post-matric secretarial or administative qualification;
• A minimum of five years’' secretarial and/or administrative experience;
• Demonstrable typing skills (particularly of financial statements and tables);
• The ability to liaise appropriately with individuals at management and other levels, both within and outside the University;
• Proven computer proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook);
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
• The bility to work thoroughly and accurately under pressure without compromising accuracy;
• High-level organising ability and independence in performing tasks;
• Effective planning, organisational and prioritisation skills;
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling

• A general working knowledge of scientific terminology;
• Prior experience with working in a tertiary enviroment;
• Knowledge of the University is financial and information systems;
• An excellent spoken and written command of Afrikaans.
